Personal Testimony:
I have 2006 Ford Expedition that I recently purchased with 148,000 miles. When I bought it was averaging 17 MPG on the highway. I changed the oil over to 100% synthetic Amsoil Signature Series 5W-20 Motor Oil (Same weight as the 5W-20 Motorcraft Synthetic BLEND and about the same cost bottle for bottle) and I also ran Amsoil’s P.i. Performance Improver Concentrate (API) through the fuel system to clean fuel injector, valves, pistons, etc. Now I am averaging 20 MPG in a 2006 Ford Expedition with a 5.4L; that’s a 17.6% increase. Now I believe this to be an extreme case as the Performance Improver per Amsoil’s test showed an average fuel economy increase of 2.3% and up to 5.3% increase and there’s test showing economy increase as a result of the oil change. At the same time I was tried to be aware of my driving style as far as not pulling out another vehilce to prevent from flooring the vehicle and not making any quick acceleration but I did drive a speed of 70 MPH on the highway. I’m certain I will get a little better gas mileage on this vehicle once I change out the air filter, transmission fluid and differential over to Amsoil Products.
